The MC-500 is rated for wind speeds up to 180 km/h when properly installed with the recommended number of anchor points. The elastic mooring lines absorb surge energy by stretching up to 100% elongation, preventing shock loads from transferring to the pontoon connections. For cyclone/hurricane-prone regions, we specify additional anchors and heavier chain grades in the engineering package.
